Overview

No Pain is a brand that partners with Topps, to promote a workout app that creates community among people interested in trading cards. Trading cards is something that has been around since the 1970s and since then has branched into other genres such as wrestling, disney, anime, and more.

The Challenge

How do I make a app that consistently encourages exercise?

Most fitness apps experience a 8-12% retention of active users after 30 days. Knowing this I wanted to find a way to design a fitness app that could potentially raise the retention rate.

My Solution

Create a gamified exercise experience that rewards and promotes community.

Create a gamified exercise experience that rewards and promotes community.

By combining UX & UI from workout apps, commons games, and trading cards apps I designed a gamified workout app that feels familiar to the user. Although exercise is the main objective, I wanted this to feel like a game first!

Created a live view screen using claude coding and edits to the html/css that counts the number of reps and sets for the user to ensure honesty.

By adding teams, profiles and trading cards (a growing popular industry) to this fitness app it provides a gamified experience to make exercise feel less like a chore and more like a fun, shareable daily achievement.
